Magandang Gabi OYFA!
Hoo Am I? will be held on Wednesday September 30th, from 7-8.30pm. It is a panel for A/APA members of our community to speak about their experiences on Grounds with regards to racism/micro-aggression, under-representation of A/APA community, and self-segregation of A/APA community from the rest of the university community.
Check your houses over Fall Break for any gently used clothes, bags, shoes and accessories and donate them to the OYFA Thrift Store! Proceeds will go towards FIND D7. If you have any donations, email or facebook message Jean (jms2wz) or Patricia (pgg3zg).

Community has plenty of ways to get involved in the upcoming weeks :)
Come out to Arch’s at the Corner TOMORROW, Monday 9/28, from 5-10pm to help out our fundraiser.---BIGS TAKE YO LITTLES, LITTLES DRAG YO BIGS for some quality bonding time over frozen yogurt.
OYFA is teaming up with Lambda Phi Epsilon to help clean up the Ragged Mountain Trail. This project will be on Thursday, October 15th from 4-6 and we need a handful of volunteers willing to work. If you are at all interested please message or email either Ariana or Misha. Rides will be provided to the site.
Challah for Hunger has provided us with a volunteering opportunity to help them make bread!!!!

Filipino Food Night is coming up on October 22nd! Every year OYFAns get to showcase their talent in live performances! Just remember that this is located in a church, so keep your performances holy! If you're interested in performing, please fill out this form.
Scholarship Opportunities:
The 7th Annual Asian Student Scholarship Program: Virginia Asian Foundation. Three awards will be given: One at $1,000, one at $750, and one at $500.
For more information about eligibility requirements, please follow this application form. Note the final application deadline is Wednesday October 30 at 5pm.

GUESS WHAT! OYFA played an awesome flag football game against VSA and our hard work payed off! Thank you to all the people who came out to support!
The “Shoot for the Moon” Soccer Tournament happening on October 10th! Sign-ups begin right now! If you’re interested in joining and would like more information contact Kyle Liu on Facebook/ phone (516-643-5940). It’s $7 for registration, and will be TONS of fun for everyone!

Honor Diversity Initiative Award
Honor, ASU, BSA, and LSA are excited to announce the Diversity Initiative Award, an essay based award competition to celebrate several minority communities on Grounds. Six $500 awards will be presented to students who enter the competition by writing a 750-word essay on one of the Honor-related prompts. The deadline is October 16th.
