Hello, OYFA!
At the general meeting this Thursday, we will be having OYFA Board Nominations. A few weeks later, we will have Board Elections coming up February 28th. If you are interested in running for any of the following positions, we strongly recommend you contact any of our current board about that position:

It's great seeing all your beautiful and handsome faces back at UVA. Here's what we have lined up for you in the next few weeks!
Coffeehouse (February 5): Do you like music? Would you like to support both your friends and Relay for Life at a single event? Want food, coffee, polaroid photo booths, and more? Come out to Coffee House, a musical event for charity sponsored by CSA, VSA, and OYFA!
Winter Classic (February 13): Get hype because our football tournament is coming soon! Practice dates and times will be posted on the OYFA Facebook page!

Scholarship
AHOYFAAAAA!
We are very excited to announce that we are now officially sponsored by our local SUSHI KING!!!
OYFAns who go to Sushi King will receive the normal 10% student discount on their meal, and at the end of every month, 5% of the collected proceeds will go to our Scholarship Endowment Fund!
All you need to do is tell them you are a member* of OYFA to receive the discount, and make sure to give your customer copy of your receipt (with OYFA written on it) to the reception desk for their records!!!
FIRST YEARS: the application for the OYFA Excellence Scholarship will be released sometime in February, so keep an eye out and apply!

Barrio season has finally begun! We hope you guys are ready to embark on a busy, but fun-filled semester. Practices start this week, both traditional and modern. Culture will also be holding auditions for SKIT on February 9th, location and time tbd. Lookout for more information regarding auditions in the following days. Hope to see all of you!

D7 Representatives
Hello OYFA!
A big thanks to everyone who came out to Board and Council Auction this past Saturday! The event was raised over $350 for OYFA and D7! Shoutouts to our awesome MC's Jasmine and Priscilla for keeping the event HYPE and to Board/Council for hosting such a plethora of awesome activities.
The Annual Winter Classic Football Tournament is just weeks away (February 13th-14th). We will be hosting members from several D7 schools for a weekend of friendly competition and comradery. Contact Patricia or I if you would willing to host someone for the night at your house/apartment.
