Hey OYFA,
We're releasing the the application for Student Advisors for the next school year. If you have at least one year of board or council experience, please apply! Note: People with two years of board/council experience will be preferred. Nominations are due by March 6th (TONIGHT) and applications are due on March 16th.

Please join us for OYFA's Council Elections on March 19th at 11AM in OHill Forum to help us select our council for the 2016-2017 school year. In order to speak and vote in the elections, you must be a paid member! Please note: we will have food at elections!
If you would like to nominate an individual or yourself to a position, please e-mail me at epr5fj@virginia.edu. You have until the night before elections (March 18th at 11:59PM) to nominate individuals. Candidates have until the day of elections (March 19th) to drop out of the running.
I would also like to clarify something I mentioned during during the meeting about running if you are not going to be present the day of elections. If you have a very particular and unavoidable set of circumstances that prevent you from being at UVA the day of elections, we are allowing you to Skype into elections to give your speech/answer Q&A/etc. Note, once again, that this is only for very special circumstances that I must approve of ahead of time. You must also give me a timeframe (of about 30 minutes) where we can Skype you in.
Finally, for those running for a position, we will be having an Open Council Meeting the Sunday we come back from Spring Break (March 13th) at 10PM in Newcomb Room 389. You are welcome (and encouraged) to come see how council meetings are run.

Hey OYFAm!!
The Organization of Young Filipino Americans presents Lakas 5K: Mad Glow Run, an event benefitting Relay for Life and the HeCares Foundation! Please join us on Friday, March 18th in the only night 5K around Grounds and for a night filled with glow-in-the-dark fun, live music, free food, raffles, great company and so much more! Participants will be provided with various glow materials and showered with glow paint! You can purchase tickets at oyfaatuva.com or catch us tabling during the week leading up to the event!
Early bird registration ends Monday, March 14th so purchase tickets while it lasts! Also if you can, please invite all of your friends to the event page.
