Julie DuBose and Michael Wood will be leading this workshop on how to have direct perceptions and photograph them with your camera. Miksang has been called "meditation with a camera". It is joyful, illuminating, and can change your life by changing how you see. 

Julie DuBose is the author of 'Effortless Beauty: Photography as an Expression of Eye, Mind and Heart.' and is the Founder of the Miksang Institute for Contemplative Photography. Michael Wood is the co-author of 'The Practice of Contemplative Photography: Seeing the World with Fresh Eyes'

Two Workshops at Royal Roads University



Michael Wood and Julie DuBose will be teaching the Opening the Good Eye and Making Contact courses once again back to back at Royal Roads. Our Opening the Good Eye course in April 2015 at Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. is now accredited towards of the Applied Mindfulness Meditation Certificate being offered through Royal Roads and the University of Toronto.
 


Miksang Institute 2015 Summer Intensive



The Miksang Institute Summer Intensive will take place from August 6 - August 25, 2015 and will present the first three courses in the curriculum. We hope that everyone will sign up early and secure their housing. This is a popular summer vacation spot in the US, and August is the most popular time of year here. The Miksang Institute of Contemplative Photography® was established by Julie DuBose and Michael Wood to promote the Miksang Training curriculum and the expression of direct, non-conceptual visual experience through various related disciplines. 

The Institute presents courses in the core Miksang Training curriculum as well as courses designed to teach the integration of the practice of Miksang principles into art education and art therapy, film making, printing, and familiarity with the medium of digital photography and its use in the expression of Miksang images. Learn More...
