Community Member Spotlight

Volley4Sound is a volleyball tournament that raises awareness to educate the public of the challenges that young deaf and hearing loss individuals face everyday. Local, Kelsey Brandin, started the event in honor of her mentor, Margie Hindenlang, when she became diagnosed with cancer. Hindenlang suggested Kelsey start a fundraiser for hearing, and Volley4Sound was born! This year, Volley4Sound was able to fundraise $30,000. It will all goes towards Hearing Loss Association of America which is a non profit organization.  Earplugs are provided for participants to experience the challenges during their games. These are especially difficult times with the public being required to wear face masks which causes further obstacles for the hearing-impaired community to communicate. We wanted to thank and honor Kelsey for all her hard work and dedication. Check out Volley 4 Sound and give them a follow!
