The higher education week ahead
Also on Wonkhe
Odds and sods elsewhere
BBC has a story: 'Elite firms exclude bright working class' based on the Social Mobility Commission's findings. The Observer has an interview with popular scientist Brian Cox worth reading. The same paper had a feature on the election at Oxford for the university's next Professor of Poetry. Newsweek asks 'have our universities become multinational corporations?. University of Cambridge is to hire a Lego Professor thanks to the generosity of the Lego Foundation - the rest of that story, complete with jokes, largely writes itself.
