Lent Reflection for
Sunday, March 29, 2020

I lift my eyes to the mountains -
from where will my help come?
My help comes from YHWH,
who made heaven and earth!
YHWH won't let our footsteps slip:
our Guardian never sleeps.
The Guardian of Israel
will never slumber, never sleep!
YHWH is our Guardiahn;
YHWH is our shade:
with God by our side,
the sun cannot overpower us by day,
nor the moon at night.
YHWH guards us from harm,
guards our lives.
YHWH guards our leaving
and our coming back,
now and forever.

~ Psalm 121

It doesn’t matter who you are,
where you’ve been or what you’ve done,
how you love or who you love,
God welcomes you and so do we!

YOU are welcome here!

MCC Richmond is a loving, inclusive, progressive Christian community dedicated to sharing God’s love with ALL people. MCC Richmond is an affiliated church of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC), a worldwide fellowship of Christian congregations. Founded in 1968, Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, economics, climate change, aging, and global human rights. MCC was the first to perform same gender marriages and has been on the forefront of the struggle towards marriage equality in the USA and other countries worldwide. MCC recognizes a state of need around the world in the areas of human rights and justice, including the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer communities. As people of faith, MCC endeavors to build bridges that liberate and unite voices of sacred defiance. MCC leads from the margins and transforms.
