Keli has been begging me for a couple of years to go to the annual
Mutts' Marathon sponsored by the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI). This year Keli and I are finally doing it, to mark her 10.5 birthday. Penny will be cheering us on from home, since she still gets a little too anxious around other dogs on-leash. We'll work on that with her so hopefully she'll be able to join us next year. Visit our

Adorno Fathers' Country Fair:
On October 7, I'll be participating in my first craft fair at the Adorno Fathers' Fall Country Fair in Ramsey, NJ. I'm partnering with a friend who creates whimsical mixed-media pins, charms and pendants. We'll both have lots of Halloween, harvest and holiday-themed items for sale.
The fall foliage should be peaking around that time, so if you're planning to be in the area for apple- or pumpkin-picking, be sure to stop by the fair and look for us. Parking is free and there's no admission fee. (Sorry - this event does not allow pets.)

Breaking News! I was just about to click send on this email when I received news that ArtFire has been working on optimizing their marketplace for mobile devices!
They've rolled out the update in the past few days to improve and speed up the shopping process on mobile phones (both iPhone and Android) and tablets. These features should continue to improve over the next few weeks and months. Unfortunately, I don't have an iPhone or Android device yet, but the mobile version of my
SewAmazin shop does look much better on my Blackberry. Check it out!

Over the summer I've been reorganizing the sections of my ArtFire shop to make it easier to find pet bandanas, collar slipcovers and scrunchie neck ruffles by holiday, theme and description.
Now you'll find coordinating items all in the same section. Sections for pet items are at the top of the list; sections for people are at the lower half of the list, indicated by the red outlines in the photo above.

~ It's not too early to start thinking about Halloween, Thanksgiving/Autumn Harvest and Christmas pet bandanas and scrunchies! Several styles from last year are still available and I'll be adding new designs over the next few weeks. If you're looking for something in particular and don't see it, contact me, and I'll try to find or make it.

We customized the embroidery colors with a white pawprint and stitched them on red twill and denim blue bandana fabrics.
Kimmie shared this photo of Gidget with us; she's wearing her Stars & Stripes Scrunchie Neck Ruffle on July 4th. Miss Gidget is a Shih Poo and she celebrated her 10th birthday in July!
