Hon. Marilyn R. Skoglund - was appointed to the Vt District Court in 1994 and became the second woman to serve as an associate justice of the Vt Supreme Court in 1997 and retired on September 1, 2019.  She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BA in fine arts in 1971.  In lieu of attending law school, she completed a law-office clerkship at the Office is the Attorney General, where she served as assistant attorney general (1981-1989), chief of the Civil Law Division (1989-1993) and chief of the Public Protection Division (1993-1994).
Hon. Karen R. Carroll - was appointed to the Superior Court by Gov. Howard Dean and sworn in as an Associate Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court by Governor Phil Scott in 2017.  She earned her J.D., cum laude from Vermont Law School in 1988 and served as deputy State's Attorney in Windham County from September 1988 to June 1994.  She is married to Richard C. Carroll,  partner in the law firm of Phillips Dunn Shriver & Carroll in Brattleboro.
Richard H. Wadhams, Jr. - Chip Wadhams' practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense.  One of Vermont's most experienced trial attorneys, Mr. Wadhams has successfully tried hundreds of cases to verdict.  He has been with the firm since 1971.  Mr. Wadhams is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, has been listed in Super Lawyers since 2010, and is a member of the Litigation Counsel of American and the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.  Yale University, BA, 1965.
Eleanor L.P. Spottswood - has served as the at-large elected attorney member and Chair of the Judicial Nominating Board since early 2019. During her tenure, she has led the Board through selection procedures to fill both Superior Court and Supreme Court vacancies, as well as facilitating an anti-bias training retreat and re-examination of Board procedures. For her day job, Ms. Spottswood works as an Assistant Attorney General in the Appellate Unit of the Vermont Attorney General's Office. She clerked for a federal district court judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and for Justice John Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court. She lives with her wife and dog in Burlington.
Dineen Squillante - NCRA Registered Professional Reporter covering VT, NY, MA.  Owner/Operator: Double D Reporting - Stenography/Court reporting services, a STENOGRAPHY-ONLY COMPANY in the state of Vermont since 1999 - one of the longest-serving Court Reporters in the state. Dineen will be joined by Traci Mertens, NCRA Registered Diplomate Reporter, United States House of Representatives staff reporter and Mary Doud, Videographer, Doud Studio Arts.
 
Patrick Winburn - has been practicing law in Vermont since 1987 and is a current board member of the new VTLA.  He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in personal injury and medical malpractice law and is rated Av by Martindale-Hubbell.  He was a state delegate of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. George Washington University, BA, 1977; University of Miami, JD, 1980.

Gregory P. Howe - Since 1975, attorney Gregory P. Howe has been dedicated to representing victims of vehicular accidents and individuals facing wrongful death proceedings.  Greg is an experienced personal injury lawyer with many accolades, including selection to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and New England Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
