The moment we are living in is full of challenges, (or as optimists might call them, “opportunities”).  These challenges hover around words like transition, change, new, unknown, uncertainty, discovery.  While we can be sure that our Sovereign Lord will carry us through to the other side, there is often a creeping doubt that we must be on guard against.  One of the best ways to walk in faith and confidence in any season is by holding fast to God’s Word, and engaging Him in prayer!
It is encouraging to fix our eyes on Christ Heb.12:2 who always gives us the perfect example of godliness in any given circumstance, especially when we consider that He was tempted in every way that we are.Heb.4:15 To this very day, He’s at the right hand of God, interceding for us! Ro.8:34
In His most troubled moment on earth, Jesus prayed a powerful prayer that is still being answered today.  This prayer reveals not only how we can glorify God, but also how we find ultimate fulfillment in Him, and how we can most effectively reach the world with His gospel message.  Read the prayer in John 17, and then let’s pray through it together.
