The Data Marketplace is now available!
A new service to upgrade data-driven policymaking
|

The Data Marketplace component offers a web-based environment for providing functions and interfaces in order to support the search, retrieval and ingestion of diverse assets (e.g. datasets, policies, analytical tools, etc.).
Main features
Hosting and offering of ready-to-use assets, Multi-sided environment offering functionalities both for assets’ providers (e.g. owners of specific assets such as data owners that have made a specific dataset available) and for assets’ consumers (e.g. data scientists that would like to obtain an offered dataset).

Policy Cloud's White Paper
Towards standardisation in data-driven policymaking

Developed in cooperation with StandICT.eu 2023, the white paper focuses on the standardisation of data interoperability in data-driven policymaking.
The Policy Cloud project has highlighted this need through its 3-dimensional approach or “end-to-end legal and ethical assessment” for an end-to-end data analysis.

Policy Cloud published a scientific article and got featured in Data & Policy, a Cambridge University journal!
The article "Developing an Ecology of Data for Policy Practice: The PolicyCLOUD Experience and its Assessment" provides a comprehensive overview of Policy Cloud's data-centric approach to policy practice and its cloud based environment.
Furthermore, the research paper includes the types of data sources used by the ecosystem, some of the built-in analytic capabilities of this environment, and the initial uses of PolicyCLOUD for solving real policy problems.

Co-Creation Workshops 4
Policies for the Food Value Chain

The 4th Co-Creation Workshop for the intelligent policies for the development of agrifood industry pilot was organised by SARGA as part of the Policy Cloud project and held on 25 November.
The workshop was focused on how Big Data and AI have been applied to the wine sector to obtain a better understanding of the products demand, market trends, consumer opinion, and production quality.

Policies against Radicalisation
|
|
Organised by Maggioli Group as part of the Policy Cloud project, the 4th Co-Creation Workshop was held at Regione Lombardia and addressed the issue of political and religious radicalisation in Europe.
Policy Cloud consortium partner Maggioli collects data from social media to enable policymakers to tackle radicalisation effectively.

Joint exhibition booths, presentations,
workshops and more

The Brussels session for Data for Policy 2022 is held on 13 December 2022 with the objective of discussing theories, applications and implications of data science innovation in governance and the public sector. Policy Cloud, an innovator in data-driven policymaking, joined the event to participate in the panel discussion " Data usage improving public policies & policymaking".

|
|
On 15-17 November 2022, Policy Cloud joined Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. In addition to presenting its solutions at a joint exhibition booth with Major Cities of Europe, USER-CHI (Florence), City of Prato, City of Larissa and Smart Dublin, Policy Cloud delivered a presentation of how the developed tools can enrich policymaking.

Hosted in Larissa, Greece, between 2-4 November 2022, the Major Cities of Europe conference brought together experts interested in boosting transformation across cities in Europe. Policy Cloud had the chance to present its pilot project Urban policy making through analysis of crowdsourced data in the city of Sofia, hold an innovation workshop and engage with visitors at its exhibition booth.
