Nurse's Note

March is National Nutrition Awareness Month!

Why is Healthy Nutrition important??
Healthy Nutrition is good energy to our bodies & brains. It can greatly impact our daily well-being in terms of feeling our best both physically & mentally as well as help prevent illnesses & health disease. The USDA recommends that 50% of our daily food consumption be fruits & vegetables
Eat a variety of healthy foods. Try eating vegetables as a snack! Fun ways to include fruits & vegetables daily could be: adding apples, bananas, blueberries or pears to your oatmeal/cereal, yogurt or pancakes. Another way would be blending a colorful variety of them to make a yummy juice smoothie. For the month of March and every day, let’s all make it a goal:

Let’s eat more fruits & vegetables DAILY!

(*Also, please note: Winter time can be a peak season for lice.
Updated procedures for the CERSD Lice Policy can be found here).

Drop by our new wall and share your photo!
