New publishing platform for charity-funded research
The wait is over! We're excited to announce that 24 member charities have launched a new publication platform; AMRC Open Research. It gives researchers funded by the 24 charities the ability to share any and all of their research results in a transparent and accessible way.

New joint organisation to unite digital leadership
Earlier this week, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced a new tech unit, NHSX. This organisation will be responsible for setting the national digital strategy, best practices for NHS technology and technological and data standards, as well as building world-class digital services to improve care and enable medical research.
The future challenges of the healthcare workforce
The Topol review on the future challenges of the healthcare workforce was published last week. It focuses on the skills and workforce theme and makes recommendations that will enable NHS staff to make the most of innovative technologies.

National Data Guardian consultation
The National Data Guardian for Health and Social Care has launched a public consultation on its priorities and is seeking views from those with an interest in the use and safeguarding of health and care data which runs until 22 March.
New Code of Conduct for AI systems used by NHS
A new code of conduct for artificial intelligence and other data-driven technologies will ensure only the best and safest systems are used by the NHS. The aim is to make it easier for suppliers to develop technologies which tackle some of the biggest issues in healthcare.
