The country's divided.
Nearly a year after the UK's monumental and pivotal verdict, we're being posed with a nigh-on identical question once again.
'When is it okay to announce the BBQ season officially open?'
No need for an election on this one though; according to pop-up foodie pro Jimmy Garcia, the official start date for grilled goodness galore is actually Friday 19th May.
Which by complete chance, just so happens to coincide with the opening of his latest foodie experience, The BBQ Club.
Set over a temporary two storey space on the Southbank, this pop-up doesn't just boast beautiful views of the River Thames and surrounding landmarks, those with a ticket will also be able to experience the exclusive rooftop space - which is decked out with built-in Big Green Egg BBQs in the middle of each table.
Using said BBQs, guests will take a hands-on guided journey through a carefully curated six course tasting menu, spanning scallops with baked cauliflower, lamb cutlets with salsa verde and of course - firm British staple - a barbecued pineapple. To wash the feast down, expect gin concoctions, craft beers and two grades of wine split into 'good' and 'great', all available from the 'honesty bar' - meaning you'll help yourselves to drinks throughout the night, then pay up whatever you owe when you leave.
Good ol' trustworthy Jimmy.
The BBQ Club kicks off on 19th May and runs until 20th September. Tickets for the six course feast are £45pp.
