London is a melting pot of cultures, creeds and varying opinions.
On one hand, you've got those revelling in today's celebrations of World Milk Day, drinking pint after pint of the white stuff to prove their undying fealty to dairy.
Then on the other, the rest of us who are absolutely gagging for London Wine Week to kick off on 5th June.
The rules of the week are simple: buy your £10 wristband and - on top of entry into the festival hub in Devonshire Square for tastings, events and pop-ups - you'll also make the most of £5 wine flights at more than 125 participating bars in London.
Made up of three specially-chosen wines, the flights differ at each venue - spanning a selection of carefully curated plonk from across the globe - and your wristband entitles you to as many of them as you like/can handle over the seven days.
So do go easy.
(...or don't, and book a ticket to DrinkUp: The Wine Edit at Oval Space as well. In collaboration with London Wine Week, the sister event will run over the 8th, 9th and 10th June, fronting a huge summer garden, a vermouth terrace, discounted wines and boozy pop-up brunches).
London Wine Week takes place between 5th-11th June. Wristbands are £10 and can be collected from the festival hub in Devonshire Square.
