1814 was a tough old year for Napoleon. His power grab for European domination had narrowly failed and as a result he was exiled to the little known Mediterranean island of Elba, with just his favourite horse and a mere 600 of his closest pals for company.
Think that got the little guy down?
Did it hell.
Instead, this pocket-size raver turned the island into a party paradise, and now, as a tribute, there's a new London rooftop bar themed in its honour. Combining a love for tongue-in-cheek French street art with a list of 20 punchy summer cocktails, Bar Elba is London's latest sky-high plot, promising a whopping 350 person capacity, Frosé (frozen rosé), city skyline views and more attitude than Boney himself.
Located in Waterloo (obviously) and sister bar to the recently-launched and sassy-as-you-like Tonight Josephine downstairs, it's a safe bet that when word gets out, Bar Elba is going to be pretty damn popular this summer.
But luckily for you, you know us.
As we're first to break the news, you get exclusive access to pre-launch party tickets for Saturday 29th July - where you'll not only get the first view of the rooftop in all its glory ahead of the public, your £10 ticket will also guarantee two free drinks on the night.
Bar Elba officially opens on the 31st July, but you can buy your tickets for the pre-launch on Saturday 29th July here. Or alternatively, book a table for any date between 31st July - 31st August for an extended happy hour until 9pm (usually 7pm), here.
