The webinar is jointly organised between FUNSEAM and the Chair of Energy Sustainability of the University of Barcelona.
At a time when the European Commission is proposing an ambitious green recovery plan to tackle the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, this webinar aims to address the recommendations issued by the German Government's Commission of Experts "Energy of the Future" on CO2 prices and energy tax reforms for the expansion of renewable technologies, climate-neutral value chains, industrial transformation towards emission-neutral technologies and products, as well as the future role of hydrogen.
Andreas Löschel, professor at the University of Münster (Germany) and Research Associate of the Chair of Energy Sustainability of the University of Barcelona will address these issues. Professor Löschel is one of the world's leading specialists in the field of energy and environmental sustainability. Since 2011 he has chaired the German Government's Commission of Experts for Energy Monitoring and Transformation and is currently the lead researcher of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for the fifth and sixth assessment reports.
