Season Ticket Update - March 2020
Hello from the Castle
Dear Castle Member,

So March 2020 has not gone quite to plan has it? I am sure you will know by now that the Coronavirus outbreak has affected many businesses across the world and the Castle is not excluded from this.

Your Season Ticket renewals and newsletters were due to be sent out this month and this has now been delayed. We will share some updates below but please be patient with us at this challenging time. I hope you are all keeping well in this very difficult period of lives.

Thank-you for your valued support as always but even more so at this time.

Kind regards

Katie Ingham

Heritage Team Leader

Change to our opening times

Following the latest government coronavirus advice on social distancing and avoiding public gatherings, BCP Council is taking the sensible precaution to protect the public by reducing some non-essential council services. Our duty of care to residents remains our main concern, which is why we’re focusing on keeping essential services going.

Therefore the Castle and The Castle Kitchen tearooms are closed at the moment from Thursday 19 March until Sunday 31 May 2020.

At this time our grounds are still open and we hope to be communicating to you through social media or by email to keep you feeling connected with the Castle at this time.

Staying connected during self-isolation

We appreciate that self-isolation may be difficult, so along with other interactions we shall begin on social media, please meet Dora and Beatrice, our resident ducks who shall be hiding in our regular 'spot the duck' picture to help our members feel connected to the Castle and stay positive whilst in self - isolation.

If you have any ideas of interactions or activities you would like to see the Castle do, please email us at

Our Beautiful Grounds

The Castle is are fortunate enough to be surrounded by beautiful woodland grounds, linked to Steamer Point nature reserve and also be alongside the bay with views of the Isle of Wight.

In partnership with LoveHighcliffe, why not try the 4 mile trail around Highcliffe and enjoy nature? Please stay safe and keep 2 metres apart from anyone you meet.
