CLRC has a new and improved Little Free Library on Ridings Road in Syracuse (across the street from our old office). The location is highly used but the old box was peeling, rusted, dented and ready to retire. The new box that was built out of recycled materials Anna Dobkowski had laying around the house - milk crates, plexiglass, old siding and leftover bathroom vinyl paneling. Next time you're in that area, "Take a book. Leave a book."

Boys on the Beach, from the Agnes Elliott Collection, courtesy of New Woodstock Free Library
Agnes Elliott split her time between Florida and Central New York. Correspondingly, her artwork undulates between frigid snowscapes and warm beachscapes. This watercolor painting exudes the promise of summer. May we all find our beach, our sandy shore.
