The new furniture fronts make an impact with their wafer-thin veneer made of real stone – excitingly combined with steel or wood. Instead of making a smooth and cold impression, the fronts appear soft and inviting to the touch. The KARE design team creates this finish by using innovative technology to have ultra-thin panels cut from types of stone which appeal to the touch, for example slate or Bidasar marble.

For the tops of the elegant 'Tesoro' coffee tables the KARE team this season have chosen the precious stone agate with its fascinating look. The natural stone is cut into thin slabs and then manually shaped into unique, individual table tops by craftsmen.

A further new discovery for the design of distinctive articles of furniture is cross stitching. 'Sioux' is the name of the ethnic series of dressers and sideboards made of solid mango wood, which have mesh fronts manually decorated with cross stitching in contrasting colours.
