With over 300 alpine lakes, miles of OHV and hiking trails, and four seasons of outdoor pursuits, discover the world's largest flat-top mountain, which is only 45 minutes from Grand Junction! The Grand Mesa is one of nature's greatest accomplishments, and it shines through in every season. Spring is vibrant with wildflowers, summer brings cool air and boating out on the water, fall glows with golden aspens, and winter is ripe for skiing and snowmobiling. The Grand Mesa is proof that Mother Nature really does play favorites.

Rounding out Nature's Trifecta (literally) are the arches in Rattlesnake Canyon. Standing proud with the title of the second-largest concentration of natural arches in the world, Rattlesnake Arches is nature's way of proving how powerful, yet delicate, its landmarks can be. The arches are often described as "magical" and "one of the coolest hikes I've ever done in Colorado," by visitors who have hiked the area. The trailhead is less than an hour from Grand Junction and the most famous arch is within one mile from the upper trailhead. Bonus - there are no crowds like you experience in Utah.
