For the past 2 years, we have partnered with Global PR Firm Burson-Marsteller to match each delegate with a communications specialist. Thanks to the media and communications training provided by their individual communications coaches, the delegates each delivered advice to G20 Leaders in this video.

The 6th G(irls)20 Summit took place on October 5th & 6th, 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey. The focus of the 2015 Summit was to respond to the 2014 G20 Leader's commitment to create 100 million new jobs for women by the year 2025. The Summit focused on three main areas: The Future of Jobs; Barriers to Employment and Best Practices.

More than 30 local and global speakers shared their views on what is needed to increase female labour force participation. To review the full Summit program, click here.

Hosted by Google in Istanbul, delegates received several workshops in advance of the Summit to build their skill sets in communications, strategic thinking, leadership (provided by Norton Rose Fulbright), digital communications and entrepreneurship.

After an all day strategic session, the 2015 delegates created a communique with 13 recommendations for the consideration of G20 Leaders to help them stay on track to reach their commitment.

READ THE 2015 OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE

Turkish Delegate Sebiha GÃ¼ngÃ¶r met with Ambassador Emre Yunt, Director General for Multilateral Economic Affairs, Republic of Turkey. The communique was received by G20 Leaders and G20 Sherpas (via Ambassador Yunt and Canadian Sherpa Vincent Rigby).

On November 15, while attending the B20 & G20 meetings in Antalya, Turkey, Prime Minister Trudeau received the official communique. Read my blog about our meeting and Prime Minister Trudeau's commitment to increasing Female Labor Force Participation.
