At this Streets For All meeting, in addition to continuing to discuss the 2020 city council election, we will focus on starting a movement to pedestrianize Hollywood Bl., starting from La Brea to Highland (eventually we'd love to see this extend to Sunset!).
San Francisco just voted to pedestrianize Market Street. Manhattan just voted to prioritize buses and pedestrians on 14th street. Now it’s our turn to bring this momentum to L.A..
Please bring anyone you think will be interested! Everyone is welcome. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
Who are the progressive people you know on your neighborhood council and could you introduce them to Streets for All? Neighborhood councils could be a very powerful tool if we get a critical mass of them.
Coalition building. Which community leaders and organizations should we be talking to?
When and where should our next meetings be? Los Angeles is huge and we want to make the space for every voice to be part of the Streets for All conversation.
What specific street improvements are needed in your area? We want to start building a project database. Where should Streets for All be spending our energy?
Volunteer with us. What are key skills you can add to the Streets for All arsenal? Can you devote some nights, weekends, or lunch hours to the cause? Everything is useful.
Spread the word. Share Streets for All with friends, coworkers, on social media, or just forward this email. Everyone wants clean air and a faster commute.
