Hi Ted,

Next week, the Westwood Neighborhood Council has an item on its agenda to oppose Metro’s proposal to put bike lanes on Westwood Bl. between Wellworth (just south of Wilshire) and the UCLA campus. This isn't even in their NC district! We need to oppose their interference with another NC and also support Metro's plan for Westwood Village.

This neighborhood council has a history of opposing logical and safe steps to make alternative forms of transportation safe and reliable in Westwood. Furthermore, this section of Westwood Bl isn’t even in Westwood NC’s district - it’s in North Westwood NC’s district, which overwhelmingly supports the bike lanes.

Action items:

1- Call Paul Koretz's office (323) 866-1828 and tell them two things: a) you support Metro's plan for bike lanes on Westwood Bl. between Wellworth and the UCLA Campus. b) you oppose the Westwood Neighborhood Council trying to interfere with North Westwood Neighborhood Council's business.

2 - If you don't have time to call, email Paul Koretz (they pay more attention to calls). PLEASE take the time to customize the pre-filled text and subject, so they don't feel like it's just canned.

3 - Show up at Westwood Neighborhood Council's meeting - and encourage any friends that live in Westwood to join you. We will be passing out signs to hold up. Give public comment supporting Metro's bike lanes on Westwood Bl. and opposing their interference in part of Westwood that isn't even in their neighborhood council district.

When: Wednesday, December 11, 2019. 7pm.

Where: Belmont Village Senior Living, 10475 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90024
