Hello OYFA!

We are in the midst of creating the 2014 Barrio Program, and we need your help to continue to make it as awesome as it is year after year!

If you are interested in getting an ad space in the newsletter, please check out [this form] and help us share it with your parents! It’s a great way to help personalize the Barrio Program, and to make the Barrio experience an entire family affair. If you would like to see an example of previous ad spaces, you can ask either Eclair Junchaya or Katherine Jiang!

Fourth years, we know it seems soon to think about goodbyes & thank you's, but as Barrio is a little earlier this year, we would really appreciate your help to make this as smooth as possible! Please fill out your [blurbs] tonight! :) Check your emails & FB group for more details on this process.

Hey everyone!
First and foremost, thanks to all of those who traveled with us to Virginia Tech this past weekend to participate in the Winter Classic! Our OYFAns played hard, got a few great results, and from what I've heard, overall, everyone who participated had a great time. As FIND chairs, that's all Jasmine and I really want out of these D7 gatherings.
The next big D7 event is FACT at VCU's culture show, which will be held on March 22nd! We'll keep you guys posted about information regarding VCU's show as the date approaches.
Have a great week, OYFAm!
Yours truly,
Jasmine(jap8ew) & Jor(jvt2de)

This week's Featured OYFAn is Melissa Chang!

Tell us a little about yourself! Hey OYFA! I’m a first year in the College studying Math and looking at a double major in Econ or through the Comm School, and a minor in Psychology. I grew up in suburban Detroit, and went to high school in NOVA (classic). As UVA Dining’s biggest fan, you can often find me at themed dinners or “cooking” with random ice cream toppings, cereals, and ingredients from the salad bar. I love healthy eating in general, so I am constantly baking from scratch and pinning recipes. Some of my favorite places in the world are Georgetown, Disney World, and anywhere with soft sand, clear waters, and a beaming sun. Of course, I enjoy getting to know new people, so if you ever see me around please say hello!

Favorite GIF?

Favorite OYFA memory? My favorite OYFA memory was my big reveal dinner (shout out to Nicole Winfree)! I felt so silly because I was convinced it was like twenty different people. During dinner, even when all of the bigs there had paid for their respective littles, I was totally oblivious. I was still trying to figure it out and kept looking to the door to see who was coming, when Nicole was sitting right next to me.
