A message from the President!

OYFA!

Interim elections will be held next SundayOctober 20th, 11AM @ Maury 209! Last year after Board and Council elections, there were five spots open - Corresponding Secretary, ISIP (2), PR, and Historic - where the positions were filled in last Spring through an interview and application process with interim positions. OYFA will be holding Interim elections in October to instate interim council members.
So far, the people listed below are running for these respective positions:

Corresponding Secretary: Allan Bagsic
Initiative Studies in Pilipino (ISIP): Angeli Mendoza and Jenny Hodge
Historic: Christine Chen
Public Relations (PR): Katherine Jiang

Anyone can also run during interim
elections, even first years! Email me (cal3tt@virginia.edu) if you would like to be put in the ballot or have any questions about the election process.

Don't forget that the 5K is this Friday, October 18th, and save the date for our Homecoming Tailgate on October 26th 11am at Garden X!

Hope you all are having a great Fall break so far!

-Camille Lorenzana
Recording Secretary

Hey OYFAm!

Every year the Recording Secretary publishes a directory all of our member's and parent's contact information called the Little Pages to reach out to members and parents throughout the year! So if you could please take a few seconds to fill out this form, it would be greatly appreciated! First Years, it's highly important for you to fill it out because this is how we'll be inviting your families to Global Expo, where they'll be seeing all of your hard work paying off in those awesome dances!

Thanks guys!

FIND

Hi, OYFA!

We hope you all are making the most of Reading Day weekend!  We're almost halfway through the semester, and it's about time that we were given a break.  In any case, Jasmine and I wanted to thank all of those who came out to our Happy Jassy Jor Jor Dinner last Wednesday!  We hope you all found our little dinner table discussions helpful and that all of your questions regarding FIND, D7, and Dialgoue were answered.  If not, please don't hesitate to contact myself (jvt2de) or Jasmine (jap8ew).

As a reminder, D7 Executive Board is still looking for PR/Historians, so if you're at all interested, hit us up for some additional information!  Lastly, FIND Dialogue planning is well in the works, so be on the lookout for more information regarding the event in the coming week or two.

Have a great rest of the extended weekend, all!

Yours,
FIND (Jor & Jasmine)
