FIND

Hey OYFAm!

We are pleased to announce officially that FIND Spring Conference 2014 is confirmed to be held at UVA on April 5, 2014! We have an amazing team of people working to make this event successful, including the National Directors of all 7 FIND Districts, FIND Executive Board, subcommittee volunteers, Jor, and me.

Fill out this interest form to be the first to get information about FIND Conference.

In this year's FIND Conference, Bukas Ngayon: Tomorrow Starts Now, delegates will be inspired to transform their passions into a reality in the hopes of focusing on a better tomorrow, opening new possibilities, and fighting for the future. Delegates will be bridging the gaps between different generations of Filipino Americans, be inspired to pay it forward by continuing the values of those generations, and make steps in creating a prosperous future. We hope that this Conference will act as a catalyst for creativity and empower delegates to seize tomorrow, now.

We will need a lot of volunteers to help us out that weekend, so if you're interested, choose yes on the Google Form, and we will get you more information soon!

Thanks all and hope to see you at the general meeting!

Your FIND Chairs,
Jor(jvt2de) & Jasmine(jap8ew)

Hello OYFA!

We are in the midst of creating the 2014 Barrio Program, and we need your help to continue to make it as awesome as it is year after year!

If you are interested in getting an ad space in the newsletter, please check out [this form] and help us share it with your parents! It’s a great way to help personalize the Barrio Program, and to make the Barrio experience an entire family affair. If you would like to see an example of previous ad spaces, you can ask either Eclair Junchaya or Katherine Jiang!

Love,

PR

Remember, the raffle is renewed every month so keep participating!

1. What are two things happening this Thursday and where?

2. What is the theme for FIND Conference this year? And where will it take place?

This week's Featured OYFAn is Alex Zarzuela!

Tell us a little about yourself! I am a 1st year in the College and I still don't know what I want to major in but I hope to pursue a health related profession. I enjoy playing sports, my favorite is Tennis. I hope to find more people to hit with when it gets warmer! I also like playing pick up sports with various groups of people. I am in the concert band here and I play the French horn. My musical background began on the piano and I have learned a few instruments throughout the years. I was named after the band Rush and my brother's name is Geddy (if you are familiar with them). I like ice cream and I like eat my feelings on a regular basis.

Favorite OYFA memory? My favorite OYFA memories were all the dance practices for Global Expo! I'm really looking forward to performing at Barrio too!
