I'm writing to ask for your support of Clackamas County Commissioner Ken Humberston's re-election campaign as he fundraises for his final media push. It's critical that he cross the finish line in November.
It's been truly a joy working with Ken these past four years. He's fair-minded, honest, does his research, talks to constituents, visits every corner of Clackamas County attending meetings and events, passes out food boxes to seniors -- and does his best to make intelligent decisions on behalf of ALL county residents.
Thanks to Ken, we have a new cross-laminated timber (CLT) mill in Estacada, bringing family-wage jobs to Clackamas County when we need them most. Ken was an early champion of our Veterans Village project, which has helped so many homeless vets get off the street and transition to supportive and permanent housing.
I support Ken's goal of bringing high-speed, low-cost internet to Clackamas County residents to close the digital divide. It will encourage high-tech business start-ups and assist parents and students struggling to work and study remotely.
If you feel as strongly as I do that Ken needs to return in January to move Clackamas County forward, please make a "Martha's Birthday 2020" donation of $67 (or any amount you can afford) to Ken's campaign.
Friends who donate to Ken's campaign by Oct. 21 will be entered to win a home-cooked "Martha's Gourmet Lasagna Dinner" – at your place or mine. Together, we can ensure Ken's victory on Nov. 3.
