Development and Milestones
Knowing if your child is growing and developing age appropriately is a concern all parents have at some stage, especially as they enter the school years. Every child is unique and develops at a different rate. If you are worried about your child’s development, talk with your GP, Child Health Nurse or School health Nurse. If there is a concern, it’s better to get help early.

Not all children are toilet trained by the time they start Kindy, and ‘accidents’ are expected and okay. If you are having trouble with any aspect of toilet training, please contact your Child Health or School Health Nurse before starting Kindy.
School Entry Health Assessment
When your child starts school, you will be asked to complete and return a health assessment form. With your consent, we will check your child’s vision, hearing, growth and development. You will receive a summary of the results and we will contact you if we find any concerns.
