Introducing “Tailored Tuition”

As we gear up for the 2016-17 admission season, I’m excited to announce that we will be implementing a new tuition program called “Tailored Tuition.” Instead of publishing a single tuition rate for each grade, we will present tuition as a range. This will allow families who feel they cannot afford to pay full tuition—and would otherwise not consider giving their children the best independent school experience in the Roanoke Valley—the opportunity to apply for a tuition that is tailored to the documented financial situation of the family.

Thanksgiving Thank You

Alex Hash—Community Outreach Coordinator

I would like to thank each of you who participated in our community service initiatives during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Your efforts allowed North Cross to make an immediate impact on families in the Roanoke Valley, and the expressions of gratitude from the community were overwhelming.

On Tuesday, November 24th, we partnered with Central Baptist Church to provide 61 complete Thanksgiving meals to families in need, and four boxes of food to the Roanoke Rescue Mission. One thing that stood out to me this year was the number of working poor families that we were able to assist.

Academic Update

Holiday Hand Wreath

Earlier this week, ECP classes gathered in the multipurpose room to present Mrs. Deborah Jessee with a special wreath. Each of the students helped design the wreath by tracing their hands and cutting them out.

Mrs. Jessee will hang the wreath in the lobby area of Ellis Hall so that all of our students, parents, teachers, and visitors can enjoy this holiday representation of the ECP Program.
