What up, OYFAm!

As you all may know, D7 culture show season is in full effect and as members of D7, it is our duty to be there and support other schools just as they supported us at Barrio.  So to reiterate our sentiments from last week’s WIO, FACT@VCU Presents: Ang Palansak: The Collective will take place this SATURDAY, APRIL 20, AT 5:30 PM at the MAGGIE L. WALKER GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL in RICHMOND, VA and the after party, FACT@VCU Culture Night After Party! SPRINKLE SPRINKLE BABY, will take place later on that evening, from 11:00 pm until 2:00 am at KOBE JAPANESE STEAK AND SUSHI .  Some of you have already signed up to travel with us to support our friends at VCU, but we strongly encourage more of you to try and come out and represent OYFA in RVA!

If you’re interested in coming along, sign up to be a passenger/driver HERE.

Drivers!  Expect a driver’s packet from us very soon.

To recap, please continue to sign up to travel with us to RVA THIS SATURDAY to show FACT@VCU a little OYFA love and support.  We guarantee that you will enjoy the show.  If you have any questions, please contact Jasmine (jap8ew) or I (jvt2de).  Thanks, and have a good week, OYFAm!

Trivia Challenge
Be the first to answer back with at least one correct answer to be the next featured OYFAN! But wait! If you answer back with both answers by the end of this week (midnight on Sunday), you will be entered into the Week In OYFA Raffle for a chance to win a small gift at the next general meeting!

1. When I was a kid, I had a dream that I was a mummy and slept walk and hit a wall. Guess Hoo?
2. Who was the 5th president of UVA?

This week's Featured OYFAN is Justin Trinidad!

Tell us about yourself!
I'm a 2nd year majoring in Foreign Affairs, on the pre-med track. I like to play cello with an orchestra such as the Charlottesville and University Orchestra. In my free time, I like to play tennis or just chill at home watching tv or spend time with friends.

What does a typical day for you look like?
On my busiest days, I get up around 8 for classes. Afterwards I try to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks or Greenberry's so I can stay awake. I might cram in some Chinese before my next lecture starts. I then go through a marathon of classes, sometimes 7 hours in a row. Afterwards, I'm usually in Newcomb grabbing dinner or trying to get some work done. I then migrate either to rice or Clark for homework, then return to Bice to sleep.

If you could give one piece of advice to a fellow OYFAN, what would it be?
Since everyone typically talks about branching out of OYFA, I'll talk about something else. As a student, something I've always struggled with is finding a balance between doing work and forming new friendships and relationships with others. While it is important to make sure that your social life doesn't interfere with your academics, also make sure that you're academics don't completely prevent you from having those important social interactions. Find that balance and you'll have those honors on your transcript along with the memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Answers to the previous trivia questions:
1. Luzon and Mindanao
2. Rj Capucao
