The Loren Nancarrow Healing Garden
When Loren Nancarrow was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2013, his thoughts — as always — immediately focused on other people. He knew he wanted to create a legacy that would help other cancer patients in San Diego. Learn more about Nancarrow and the healing garden by watching this video.

A photographic recap of recent events and fundraisers

City Ballet's Masquerade Gala
Honorary chairpersons Barbie and Dan Spinazzola joined gala chairpersons Ann and Steve Hall and Lauren and Paul Scott in planning a magical evening to raise money for City Ballet’s education programs. Guests enjoyed a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, music by The Mighty Untouchables, a masquerade ballet performance featuring City Ballet Company dancers, dinner by executive chef Mark Kropozynski of the US Grant Hotel, and a silent auction. The gala served as the official kick off of City Ballet’s 21st Anniversary 2013-14 Season. Click here for the photo gallery.

Celebrate the Craft
The 11th annual Celebrate the Craft at The Lodge at Torrey Pines featured leading food artisans from across California’s broad culinary spectrum, who demonstrated and tasted their way through a vast array of premium food and wines. When The Lodge’s executive chef Jeff Jackson moved to San Diego 13 years ago, he envisioned creating a local chef community. Having an “open door” policy allowed for collaboration and discussions of innovative ways to create and deliver farm-to-table cuisine, which later resulted in the first Celebrate the Craft.
