October 2022

You can leave your hat on…

… but please recycle everything else!

As we enter a new, autumn-winter season, many of us change our wardrobes. It’s worth remembering that the fashion industry is among the biggest polluters, so we should ask ourselves – do we really need another sweater? If we do, we should recycle those we don’t use anymore!

This month, we will show you how fashion can be more sustainable. Green Alley Award 2022 finalist, Atelier Riforma, gives textiles a new life, and is reaping the rewards for doing so. And Landbell Group company, ERP Poland has proven that we can even wear… e-waste!

From one of the world’s biggest waste streams to one of its biggest countries, we also have two articles on how India is turning to EPR to solve its waste problems. Landbell Group is proud to be supporting the country in its quest towards a circular economy.

Last, but not least, we are delighted to welcome a new contributor to COMPASS: our CEO, Jan Patrick Schulz. Every month, Jan will give his insights on the latest topics in CEO Corner.

This month, he describes a local initiative to tackle waste and the bigger impact that entrepreneurs like Atelier Riforma can have. That’s why he’s urging startups to apply for this year’s Green Alley Award!

So, time to put on your favourite jumper, and immerse yourself in the vibrant and varied collection that is October’s COMPASS!
