Dear fellow Minnesotan,
Over the next few months, Howling For Wolves will be in St. Paul speaking with state lawmakers to advocate for Minnesota’s wolves. In just 10 days, on January 28th, the Environment and Natural Resources Policy committee of the MN House of Representatives will hold an informational hearing on Wolf Management. This is a good reason to contact your representative now, before the session starts.
Be a factor in Your Lawmakers' Decision-Making
With or without your feedback, your representative will make decisions on wolf-related issues, so make sure they know what you think and care about. Don’t assume that contacting them won’t do any good, or that someone else from your district will do it. If you don’t express your viewpoint about wolves, you won’t play any factor in their decision-making process. We know firsthand that lawmakers take notice when they receive phone calls, letters, emails and especially in-person contacts from residents in their district.
Please contact your MN House representative before January 28th. To find and get their contact information, click here to look them up with your address. Let them know you value wolves and want to see the recreational hunt suspended. Tell them you will be following this issue. Even if they aren’t on the committee hearing about the wolf issue, you can still ask that they keep your thoughts in mind as they speak with other representatives, especially those on the hearing committee.
If you can attend the hearing, your presence will be noticed by representatives evaluating this issue. If you plan to attend, please RSVP. It is important to have a good showing and stand for the wolf.
