Remember the cash you gave us back at New Year? Here's a quick update on how we're spending it.

A quick update for all our generous supporters on QM

I'm so grateful for all your support - financial and social, spreading the word about this exciting project. We came in 25% over the target - a record-breaker for TalentBacker! It means we can do more work with pros to lick this baby into shape (as they say. Somewhere...)

Professional Actors & Director on-board!

This is what your cash did! Two weeks ago, Old Vic New Voices gave us a day at London's Toynbee Studios. You enabled me to work with actors Clare Latham and Christopher Hughes, director Julia McShane and dramaturg David Lane on the play.

It was the first time I'd heard the script (laughs, teary moments plus clarity re: the very occasional boring bit), which was massively helpful. Then they quizzed challenged tested & wondered. And from that work, I now start rebuilding...

Great PR!

The campaign has appeared in Arts Professional magazine, as a "how to" for others considering crowd-funding. It's all the stuff I wish I'd considered a bit more carefully before starting. Here's the link.

My local paper, Bath Chronicle, gave us a great boost in January, too, so if you picked up on the funding campaign that way, a huge local thanks!

Great help!

The new talent development programme at London's Old Vic, "Old Vic New Voices Lab" paid for a day's rehearsal space. As well as a feather in our cap, the time they gave us at the Studio in Toynbee Hall really boosted our development day.

I'm also talking to the Institute of Physics about possible support and a physicist from Exeter Uni has offered  to make sure we're not going to be laughed off the stage...;-)

I hope you've enjoyed hearing how you've helped us so far. There will be more news in the months to come, and I'll update you again then -not too often and not too much! But feel free to get in touch if there is anything you'd like to know.
Huge thanks again for all your support. This is how theatre gets made!

Very best wishes
Gill & the QM Team
