On 28 February, the Second Pledging Conference for the Implementation of the Mine Ban Treaty will be held in Geneva (details). The Monitor publishes many resources detailing national and international support for mine action, some of which are included in this special newsletter.

Landmine Monitor 2016

The 2016 edition of Landmine Monitor was launched 22 Landmine Monitor 2016 coverNovember. Key findings in the chapter on support for mine action detail declining international and global support over the past three years. (Note: after publication, the Monitor received additional information, updating total international support in 2015 to $352.0 million -- still the lowest level in more than a decade. National support totals remained unchanged.) 
UN General Assembly Resolutions Votes - One of Many Country Profile Resources

In 2016, states voted on two important United Nations General Assembly resolutions on landmines (71/34: 165 in favor) and cluster munitions (71/45: 141 in favor). Check individual country profiles to see how every state voted, as well as their status on membership to the Mine Ban Treaty, Convention on Cluster Munitions, relevant Convention on Conventional Weapons (CCW) protocols, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
