DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - THE NEW YORK LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS (NYLCV)
The New York League of Conservation Voters is the only statewide environmental organization in New York that fights for clean water, clean air, renewable energy and open space through political action. NYLCV is non-partisan, pragmatic and effective. Along with its sister organizations, the NYLCV Education Fund and the NYLCV PAC, they educate the public about a broad range of important issues, evaluate the performance of elected officials, and endorse and elect by campaigning for the passage of laws during the legislative season and candidates in the electoral season.
NYLCV is seeking a dynamic individual to join our staff as Manager of Digital Communications. This position works closely with the Communications Director to develop and market NYLCV’s brand and message across multiple platforms, primarily through digital channels. The Manager of Digital Communications is responsible for recruiting, engaging, mobilizing, tracking, and fundraising from NYLCV’s subscribers and members. The job will focus on increasing the number of individuals interacting with NYLCV and engaging those individuals in higher levels of participation throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is flexible, entrepreneurial, tech-savvy, and a superior written and oral communicator.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Implement public relations and membership engagement plan.
- Manage member e-mail communications including action alerts, fundraising appeals, report backs, event invites, etc. Grow and maintain database using best practices for list health and creative list growth techniques.
- Create and manage content for our digital channels, including: nylcv.org, nylcvef.org, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
- Develop and implement a plan for reaching online fundraising goals.
- Occasional graphic design work for infographics, emails, etc.

CONSTITUENT LIAISON - ASSEMBLYMEMBER DAVID WEPRIN
NYS Assemblymember is seeking a Constituent Liaison to work on handling community, civic, and constituent concerns. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serving as a liaison of the Assemblymember, and his office, to the community at large.
- Acting as a community liaison to neighborhood leaders, non-profit organizations, schools, and other community stakeholders to bring services into the district and create constituent oriented partnerships.
- Representing the Assemblymember at community board, civic and police precinct council meetings as well as other events as necessary.
- Attending events and meetings with, or on behalf of, the Assemblymember during weekends and/or evenings. Performing intake of constituent work requests, community concerns and advocacy related to issues in reference to government and current events.
- Drafting and preparing letters and emails for correspondence with constituents, agencies, and local elected officials.
- Monitoring and tracking constituent correspondence and related paperwork in online database.
- Logging of all requests and maintenance of up-to-date files on all cases.
- Conducting follow-up with relevant agencies to track progress and ensure resolution on all requests, providing thorough oversight from initial contact to final case closing.
- Providing periodic reports for the Director of Constituent and Support services staff on active and pending cases in assigned issue areas, and updates documenting agency responses to inquiries and requests.
- Assistance with creating, planning and promotion of special events, town hall meetings and other office-sponsored forums in the district.
- Conducting community outreach around office initiatives, events and press conferences.
- Assistance with office administration and intern supervision, as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
