Family Day Weekend

Message from The President of the Club

I hope everyone had a great family day weekend and a great season so far!  It is hard to believe that there are only 3 weeks left in the regular race program but not to worry there is plenty of ski racing left to be done this season!  I want to thank everyone who has volunteered and contributed this season and especially thank the volunteer parent committee for all of the great work they have done to make this season such a huge success!  With just a few more home races left including club championships please do your part and volunteer to make these races a success!  Thanks to Matt Salhani for building and donating the podium we now have!  The athletes really enjoyed it in the Kandahar room this past weekend and it has now been moved to its outdoor location to finish the season.  The podium will get some enhancements in the off-season (paint and branding) to make this perfect for many seasons to come, thank you Matt!

I have to say that this past weekend was great and helped to remind me of what a great community we belong to; Blue Mountain setting up gates for parents and athletes to enjoy, kids and family’s showing off their new Jozo Swag, young athletes standing on a podium getting medals with a huge crowd cheering, people sharing stories during Apres, people sharing great food at the potluck lunch Saturday and learning more about our new Snowboard Cross Team and some great parents who are getting involved in the community!  I am so proud to be able to contribute as President and so proud of what we have created!  Enjoy the rest of the season and looking forward to next season already!

Saturday Apres

Only 2 more Saturday Apres’ left in the season to grab a drink and catch up or make plans with your Jozo families. Join us this Saturday from 2 pm – 3:30 pm for drinks in the Kandahar room.

Ladies Day

Gal’ventine Ladies Day was a great success again this year.
These are just some of the comments that we received.
“What a fabulous ladies day”
“I'm new to the club and felt so welcomed and enjoyed meeting so many amazing ladies that I can now call friends!”
“I missed ladies day this year but I am clearing my schedule now to make sure I am there next year”
We raised lots of money, we completed a scavenger hunt, we practiced our ski cross skills, we danced and we laughed.   It was a busy day.
For all those that missed out on the great swag, we still have a few boot bags, sweatshirts and ball shirts available to purchase.
We hope to see you all again next year.

24 Hour Relay at Blue Mountain

Back for a 3rd straight year, the “Jozo Weider” team led by Stefano Mastracci is at it again skiing at Blue for 24 hours, but wait, we now have some competition!  The Jozo “Freestyle Dusk Till Dawn” team led by Chris Haslett is challenging this year!

The Jozo Weider team is the defending Cowan Cup champions and plan to vigorously defend that title while raising much-needed funds for the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital and Special Olympics Ontario!  Oh ya and have a great time doing it all day and night long!

Don’t worry, with 10 team members you only ski for a little over 2 hours which can be split up as you like!  You will probably love it so much (Skiing down Smart Alec with no line-up and nobody on the hill) you will join and ski with teammates just for fun!

To signup please visit  or create your own team.  The event is open to Skiers, Boarders and Walkers, teams can range from 5 to 10 people.

For more information email  If you can’t join a team please donate and come out and cheer us on!

Please sign up to volunteer and enjoy giveaways and special parties!

We’ll have a couple of gift certificates available to Tesoro’s as a giveaway.   Volunteers are also welcome to the best party of the year at Blue in the Friday night at the Convention Centre as well as the Saturday morning Buffet breakfast in the Cascade Room.
