Awards Banquet- March 7, 2020

Our Awards Banquet for our 2-day racers will be in the Village Conference Centre, located at 242 Jozo Weider Blvd

Registration opens at 5 pm

The cash bar and appetizers will be available at 5:15 pm with our athlete parade starting promptly at 6:15 pm, and dinner, awards and dancing to follow. Please note that the racers will be seated with their teams at the front of the room with parents seating behind in tables of 10. Seating for parents is not assigned. No physical tickets will be issued as we will have a registration desk at the Banquet with the names of everyone who purchased tickets. A wristband will be provided to all attendees.
Please remember that parents are responsible for their athletes. Coaches are not. Please speak to your athletes to remind them that there is no running in the Banquet room and they are to be respectful and responsible. There were issues last year with children running around and servers trying to clear tables, carrying large trays. We do not want any accidents to happen.

Parents, please ask your racers to remain in the room and to be responsible. They are not permitted to run around the Banquet room or Conference Centre.

Calling all Jozo Masters, coaches, Jozo Parents, and Alumni…for the King of the Mountain

King of the Mountain – WE NEED YOU!!!

This coming Sunday at TSC is the infamous King of the Mountain race to crown either Jozo Weider Racing Club or TSC Ski Club as the top in adult racing at Blue Mountain.

We have over a dozen Masters team members who are signed up, now we need YOU!!!  We don’t want to hand them the title without bringing our “A” game.   We know there are some wannabe racers out there, and some former racers who are now parents, and this is your chance to get a bit of time in gates.  Two runs, best time of the 2 run format.  10 am start on Starting Gate.  No lycra required, although many will be wearing speed suits, so you are welcome to borrow one.

If you aren’t interested in racing, or can’t, come and watch at the bottom of the race course and cheer the Jozo adults on!  Lots of cowbells and hooting are required….

Please contact Wendy Fursey wlfursey@gmail.com by Friday, February 28th at noon if you’d like to help us defend our title.  Send Wendy your Year of birth, name, and email address in order to register.  More specific race information will be sent out later in the week. A BMR waiver will be required which will be sent to you after you register.
