Learn more about Kristin, and why she volunteers for D12.....

Our family decided to volunteer as we are hoping and praying for REAL Change.  We know every little bit makes a difference, so we decided to get up & do something, so we had NO regrets and we knew we did our part!  We know that so much is weighing on this election from the top down and together we can make progress for a better future for our children, our community, and our nation.  We have a very close friend who was a victim in a tragic school shooting this year, a family member who is a Dreamer, we care deeply about the environment and our small business was affected by Covid.  We need a change in administration to accomplish what we believe needs to happen for safety and protection for our family and to bring UNITY and PEACE back to our Country.  We talked to so many voters when delivering voter guides who were ready and excited to VOTE, always very appreciative, so we kept going and doing what we can do to make sure everyone gets out to VOTE. So our advice is to volunteer whenever and however you can, together we can do it!!
All Hands on Deck!  D12 Needs Volunteers for a number of activities for the upcoming General Election.  This is a CALL TO ACTION to support:
  • NOW - virtual phone banking to get ballots mailed
  • November 3 - Volunteers to distribute voter guides and literature at early & election day Voting Centers
If you are available, willing, and able, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Bruce Flocken at bruce.flocken@d12dems.org.
D12 Democrats Board Elections

We will be facilitating D12 Democrats Board Elections during the November 16 monthly meeting. Read the following message from 2nd Vice Chair Cynthia Lehigh for details about serving the District 12 Democratic Party and your local precinct.
Make Your Voice Heard! Become a Precinct Committeeperson or Serve on the Board

Win or lose in November, the fight goes on. If we win, we cannot become complacent. If we lose, we must fight even harder, and smarter.

Please consider becoming a Precinct Committeeperson (PC), the very essence of grassroots democracy. Or, consider a leadership role on the LD12 Board, as Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Treasurer, or Secretary. The Board steers the District: it sets priorities, plans and strategies, recruits and supports PCs and candidates, raises and spends funds.

This year, the Board created committees to help guide our decisions, and their help was invaluable! Special kudos to Cherie Baxley-Gores, who led our Communication Committee, assisted by Staci Curtis, who posted on Facebook, and Penny Dolan on Twitter. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thanks, too, to Alex and Krista Cardona, who led the Strategy Committee, which created our LD12 voter guide that was distributed to 10,000 LD12 voters, along with the MCDP voter guide and candidate literature. An additional 10,000 LD12 voter guides were mailed to voters, thanks to a successful fund-raising effort.

A huge debt of gratitude goes to Dale Volz for his institutional wisdom and knowledge of the VAN and general policies, to Bruce Flocken, who agreed to coordinate our new volunteers, matching them with tasks like postcard-writing, texting, phone banking, and literature assembly and distribution. And, thanks to all our current Board members.

A very special thanks goes to Lynsey Robinson, our hard-working LD12 candidate for State Senate, for undertaking the gigantic task of running for office, and for her help in guiding our efforts along the way.

LD12 demographics are changing. We need to engage a more diverse group of people, reach out to young voters, find ways to collaborate with like-minded groups, and be creative in appealing to independents. We need to find and support candidates to run in future elections. You can help us build on what we’ve accomplished. Please stay engaged!

Cynthia Lehigh 2nd Vice Chair, LD12 Democrats Precinct Committeeperson, Campbell
