The Amesbury Monthly Poetry Reading
features

Dave Morrison

Maine-based poet Dave Morrison has published fifteen books of poetry. His work has been featured in many literary journals, anthologies, and radio programs, including Writer's Almanac, Take Heart, and Poems From Here.

Wednesday, February 23, 2022
6:30pm – 8:30pm

"There is no voice quite like his. What shines in every poem is musical sound and rhythm, grittiness, reality, humor, and the rare ability to tackle serious subjects without taking himself too seriously. There is a wonderful, refreshing lack of pretentiousness and self-pity in all his poems and books."
—Alice Persons, Editor & Publisher, Moon Pie Press

The reading will be followed by a brief open mic. Please email Amesbury Poet Laureate Ellie O'Leary to request the Zoom link.
