A fast-evolving understanding of the biological pathways by which exposures cause adverse health outcomes is playing a key role in the surge in development of new, non-animal toxicological test methods. The next event in our EBTC Symposium series will take a closer look at 'New developments in mechanism-driven chemical assessment'.

This 1-hour webinar, to be held on Tuesday, August 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM ET, will feature 3 speakers and provide an opportunity to discuss the topic.

SAVE THE DATE: 3Rs Training Webinar: Interactive 3Rs Self-Assessment Tools

 
The 13th Webinar in the 3Rs training series, organized by the Animal Protection Commissioner of Berlin and the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT), in collaboration with the Veterinary Chamber of Berlin, will take place on Wednesday, August 31, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET / 19:00 to 20:00 CEST. Dr. Jessica Eddy from UK’s National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs) will give a presentation on two 3Rs self-assessment tools, one for research groups and the other for research institutions, which help to obtain an impartial evaluation of their 3Rs activities.

SAVE THE DATE: Green Toxicology Webinar | Grand Rounds


CAAT will be hosting a webinar in honor of the publication of Alexandra Maerten's new book, "Green Toxicology: Making Chemicals Benign by Design" on Friday, September 9 from 10:30 AM-11:45 AM ET.

Dr. Maertens will be joined by Peter Fantke (Technical University of Denmark) and Jakub Kostal (The George Washington University) to discuss the role of green toxicology in the green chemistry ecosystem and within the broader goal of sustainability.

SAVE THE DATE: OpenTox 2022 Virtual Conference - Program Now Available


The official program for the OpenTox2022 Virtual Conference is now available and can be found here. The conference will take place from Monday, September 12-Friday, September 16.

Thomas Hartung will be presenting at the conference on the topic of "Toward probabilistic risk assessment – the ONTOX project" on Tuesday, September 13 at 5:05 PM CEST.

Thomas Hartung will be giving a keynote speech at the upcoming Biointerfaces International Conference. Dr. Hartung's presentation, "21st Century Cell Culture for 21st Century Research" will take place at 8:45 AM CEST on Wednesday, September 14.
