Message from The President

Hello OYFAm!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for making this semester a good one. We've had many new events and sincerely hope you have enjoyed them all.

With finals week and the end of the semester looming, please be sure to take special care to manage your stress and mental health. Counseling and Psychological Services are available to you if you ever feel like you need additional emotional or psychological support. You can find more information on the website at http://www.virginia.edu/studenthealth/caps.html or you can call them at 434-243-5150. CAPS has been incredibly helpful for many students and they are eager to help you if need be.

With that said, best of luck with finals! I hope everyone has a wonder winter break and I look forward to seeing you all next semester.

Happy finals season, OYFAm!!

We would just like to thank everyone who participated in Secret Santa and came to enjoy one last OYFA event of the semester. Hopefully you guys had a ton of fun and got into the Christmas spirit! If you weren’t at the event and haven’t received your gift yet, please make arrangements with either of us.

Anyways, we hope you guys kill it in your finals this coming week! We’ll both be here until the 18th (sadly), so let us know if you wanna hang out or need anything!

It was great seeing you all at Secret Santa! We hoped you enjoyed the company and your gifts :) Don’t forget that the BINDING Ski Trip signup form is closing on December 12 so we can establish the price for lodging before Winter Break. Please only fill out this form if you are 100% sure that you will be attending the Ski Trip.

Relay for Life is an amazing event held every year to help fight the battle against cancer and to celebrate those who have survived their battle. Major: Pre Commerce

What do you plan to do post-grad: Travel to all the major cities in America, settle down in the best city (probably New York or LA), make money, then eventually become a late night TV show host.

Favorite OYFA Memory: Thanksgiving Potluck was definitely super scrumptious, I loved seeing all the amazing families pack in one room, and it was a glorious time to see the finale of Assassins in such a cage match style.

Which of the four nations would you belong to: Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, or Air Nomads? And why? Hands down Earth Kingdom. The most industrious, the biggest cities, and the best fighting style, the Earth Kingdom is always rockin'. Earthbending is hype, Lavabending and Metalbending OP, and Toph is bae.
