Board

OYFA Council Elections are this weekend, on Sunday, March 3rd, @Newcomb Theatre, starting at 10AM!

We truly encourage all candidates to talk to the outgoing and incoming Boards and past and current chairs in preparation for the elections as well as for the position. It is important that you understand the responsibilities of the committees and the people who you will be working with.

Be on the lookout for announcements regarding Council and Board Office Hours on our Facebook group and our Facebook page!

If you cannot make it to the office hours, feel free to email/message anyone on Board and Council. We also stress that candidates should speak to people outside of office hours to have a firm understanding of the position.

All the details regarding the position and the election process are here!

We would like to see you there for as much of the elections as possible so we can hear a diversity of perspectives!

Best of luck to all of our candidates!

HELLOYFA! It's me, Dre, and I am so excited to be running to serve as your next College Council President. College Council is the governing body of the College of Arts & Sciences (CLAS), and mostly provides support through various funding initiatives. I am currently serving as the College Council's Recruitment Chair, but with my platform, I am hoping to increase the Council's involvement on Grounds. I believe that by revising the Council's structure, collaborating with diverse organizations, and participating in movements that increase academic opportunities, College Council can truly fulfill its responsibilities and be a helpful resource for all CLAS students, and an ally to OYFA as a whole.

Please feel free to find (and like) my page on Facebook, facebook.com/votedre2019, for more information about my platform and campaign. If you have any questions, my email is jd3yu@virgnia.edu, and I would love to hear from you. Thank you for your time and consideration, and have a wonderful week!

Best regards,
Dre Dilao
