Check out how YOU can make OYFA, UVA, and BEYOND a safe place!
APPLY TO TAKE BACK THE NIGHT:
TBTN is a weeklong series of events in April, dedicated to educating, empowering, and ending gender based violence. Join the movement to create safer communities and end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse, and all other forms of sexual violence on grounds and across the country.
The application is HEREEE and is due on November 22nd at midnight. If you have any questions please contact Natalie Conners (nec5rh@virginia.edu) or Damaris Paris (ddp4mb@virginia.edu).
Safe Space Training:
OYFA will be going to Safe Space Training TOMORROW 5 - 7 PM at New Cabell 289! Come learn how to be an ally to the LGBTQ community. Participants will be given a distinctive rainbow-colored sticker that reads “I am sensitive to and supportive of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, and questioning people.” These stickers can be seen all around Grounds to visibly designate safe spaces. Please sign up here as we have limited spaces!

Culture
Hi OYFA!
Below is the official sign ups for all the dances for Barrio so if you want to sign up for a traditional dance go ahead and do that as well!! The different dances separated by sheets so just remember to toggle between them on the bottom and sign up for what you want.
Just some small things to go over:
1. Moderns are split into 1st, Mega (2nd&3rd), and 4th years so sign up in the right sheet :)
2. Head choreographers for moderns are in charge of planning for their class' modern segment by appointing choreographers, making schedules, and having a general oversight of the dances.
3. There will be a cap for the traditional dances because due to limited costumes and props. Culture and choreographers will work together to make sure everyone can be satisfied with what they are in.
4. Barrio's gonna be lit.
