Homecomings weekend is one of our most awaited events as we are able to catch up with our beloved alumni whom we are not able to see often (or at all) during the year!
Join our Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 15th at 11am in Garden IX. Come through we have good food! Everyone will also be looking so glam it's an amazing opportunity for pictures!
There will be a a bar night at St. Marteen's Cafe! underclassmen is welcomed to join the alumni!

Hi OYFA!
Iiiiit’s midterm season!! We hope you’re all doing well academically and mentally! Take a study break and read about #IAmAnImmigrant Day, evaluate your mental health, read about mental health stigma in the Asian community, and learn a new Tagalog word.
Dialogue: OYFA will be co-sponsoring “#IAmAnImmigrant Day” with LSA, MELC, and other orgs on November 1st! It will be a 2-part event where people tell their story of about immigrating to, assimilating, and living in America. We need a speaker from OYFA to share his/her story and a slam poet who can write and perform a piece about immigration. So if you’re interested pleaseee sign up here! :

Mental Health: Take a study break to read about the stigma of mental health in Asian communities in “The Silence About Mental Health in South Asian Culture is Dangerous”. Compared with other ethnic groups, Asian Americans underuse mental health services that result in delayed treatment and higher attrition rates.
“There’s no inherent value in silence. There’s no value in pretending that we’re never hurt. There’s no shame in needing medicine; there’s none in confession either. We don’t have to cling to the illusion of perfection. We have everything, but life is a double-edged sword. When we tell each other this, we might risk our reputation. But this is the only way we can survive.”

First off, BIG THANKS to all of you who came out to our FIRST MEM DINNER (over 50 peeps, ~incredible)! This Thursday, we’re looking forward to eating food with you guys at Filipino Food Night yum, then we’ll have mem dinner again the next Thursday (Oct 20)! As our Football season is wrapping up, we just want to say thank you to everyone who has come out this semester! We had an amazing regular season with a lot of good wins are are looking forward to more as playoffs continue.

- Join JEI for our annual interfaith dialogue at Sleepout for the Homeless. This years topics will be charity and social responsibility. We look forward to an interesting open discussion on this topic. Light snacks will be provided and there is a WaJew BBQ at 6pm right before!
