As part of our new series we're encouraging everyone to participate in daily tasks of generosity, moving as a whole church to grow generous hearts and bless those around us.

So here we go – week one to give of yourself to your community and to make a difference one small step at a time.
Let us know how you're getting on! Connect with us on Social Media to share your journey with us and other people partaking in the generosity challenge. Let your creative generosity be an encouragement to those around you!
DAY 1 - Buy someone a present
Today’s simple challenge is to buy someone a present ...decide who you are going to buy the present for, what you’re going to buy, when you’re going to buy it, and where.
Lift someone’s spirit, surprise them with this act of kindness. It will do them good, and it will do you good as well.
DAY 2 - Share something YOU love with someone else
All we have comes from God but sometimes our love of “things” can fool us in to thinking that they belong to us. Think carefully of something you love and then give this away to someone who will appreciate it.
You may be amazed to find God speaking to you personally and giving you an opportunity to do something practical to make a difference in a positive way.
DAY 3 - Give your time to someone who needs it
We live in a fast-moving society where some people are “cash rich” yet “time poor”.
Time is one of the most valuable things we have. Today give someone your time. “Spend” your time with them. Listen. Don’t look at your watch. But give them a gift of time and see how it might change a situation.
DAY 4 - Take time to speak to someone who you don't know
Yesterday was about spending time with someone you knew. Today “spend” time to speak to someone you don’t know. Planned spontaneity is the order of the day. Just decide you’re going to connect with someone somewhere. Be interested in them, ask about them. Connect – try it – it’s good!
DAY 5 - Go on a client visit with the Social Justice Team
We challenge you to offer to go on a client visit with a member of the Kerith Social Justice team. In this way, you’ll be supporting the people you visit, as well as the team at Kerith who are always looking for supporters. Don’t delay but right now drop an email to Tim Wheatley, our Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Centre Manager at and he’ll get you plugged in.
DAY 6 - Leave an encouraging note somewhere secret
Almost through your first week of challenges. This one is brilliant.
Today leave a simple note of encouragement – to lift someone’s spirit – to make them smile – to say thank you. It can be a note on your dinner receipt? Or when you have coffee? Or a note in a library book? A few words can make all the difference to someone’s life.  Make that difference today.
DAY 7 - Be thankful
Today spend time listing all of the things you're thankful for, from the basic things we often take for granted, to miracles God has worked in your life.
Acknowledge that we are blessed to be a blessing and pray for your next 7 days of generosity, that God would move through and in you powerfully.
