Publisher’s Note: The author failed to fold my laundry in the proper manner, so I am letting the cat out of the bag—these are not actual biographies. They are closer to maps of the author’s ego than they are texts about the namesakes adorning their covers. So, if you want to read about Freud or Douglass or Hitler I suggest you do so elsewhere.

Announcing RDSP's Year of the Reader
We had so much fun celebrating our 10th anniversary all year long in 2013 that we didn't want to end the party. But we decided we needed something new to celebrate and figured it should be the most important but sometimes forgotten part of the publishing equation—the reader!
So we're designating 2014 as RDSP's Year of the Reader. We'll be kicking things off with a series of blog posts at Kit 'n Kabookle from authors about their favorite reading experiences. There will be reader spotlights and reader-centric events. We also plan to launch the RDSP Reader's Choice Award where readers will name their favorite RDSP title published in 2013.
Our publishing schedule for 2014 is just about complete. There are still a couple projects to finalize, and the dates are subject to change, but here's a list of what's coming:
The Man Who Loved Alien Landscapes (Dog Star Books) by Albert Wendland 6/24
Soft Apocalypses by Lucy Snyder 7/23
Starrie (Dog Star Books) by Heidi Ruby Miller 7/23
Mr. Wicker by Maria Alexander 9/16
All Saints by Jason Jack Miller 11/5
The Valley of Happiness by George Williams 12/3
Congrats to Stephanie Wytovich!
Congratulations are due to Stephanie on two points. The first is that Hysteria has made the preliminary ballot for the Bram Stoker Award in the poetry category.
The second is that Stephanie is now a graduate of Seton Hill University having just earned her M.F.A. in their Writing Popular Fiction program.

Our mega author signing in Uniontown this December was lots of fun with lots of people. After the signing we headed to the State Theatre for a holiday party on the mezzanine and then joined in the Share the Spirit charity event with more book signing. More photos here.

The World Fantasy Convention will be in our backyard this year. The form to nominate for the awards ballot has gone out so we thought it might be handy to have a list of our works that are eligible. You can find the list here.
