Version 2.1.1.33 - Modal menus and Terminator Fix
There is a new update ready for you!
Some updates are flashy with new things to see, but this one speeds up the hamsters working behind the screen.
Terminator Line Fix
Some of you may have noticed that the Terminator Line (Sunrise/Sunset) takes a holiday if the "Show Future" is used. This update fixes that. You'll see that the "Show Future" paths are now dots, not dashes.
Menu Rework
The Live menu tab has been overhauled to improve performance and ease-of-use. You'll see slight changes in the way it looks, and it increases the amount of space for complex layers. And yes, there are more complex layers planned for the Geochron 4k!
How to update
Using your remote, go to Menu > System > [Download System Update]. Your Geochron will reboot. You may have to do this twice to get to version 2.1.1.33.
Updates may be downloaded in the background while your Geochron is idle, then update automatically if the unit is rebooted.
What's coming up next?
We're focusing on windows that show atmospheric conditions, like Aurora forecasts, HF/UHF, as well as DX Propagation. We'll also be introducing a newer, faster hardware platform in 2021, but will keep updating older units as long as they can handle it.
For all the details of this update, here's our most recent changelog:
