The best installations
are something I carry around like photos of my kids.  As you know, it’s difficult to explain what a Geochron is to people who have not seen owon.  When I hear, "What do you do?"  I pull out my phone.  (And then inevitably, “What is that?”)

From more than 100 submissions, we’ve chosen the best 30 for you to rate.  You’ll be doing someone a favor – the winner of each category gets an Atlas!

Fun fact: Between our live weather, satellites, aviation, and free software updates, Geochron pushes 15,300 gigabytes (15.3 terabytes) per month, and 15 megabytes per day for every installed Geochron.  But our mechanical clocks?  They just need to stay in plugged in!

It sounds like we’re a big company, but actually there are only six of us, with the occasional help of my high school daughter studying from home.  Will we survive?  I’ve been teaching her stick shift (movie) so the dangers of COVID are not the biggest risk to my life and limb!

I often say that the difference between the mechanical and digital is like Toy Story’s Woody v. Buzz Lightyear.  And thanks to the digital 4K born just two years ago, the 60 year old Geochron world clock continues on today in our small shop (movie) outside Portland, Oregon.   Below, find three restored Geochron Mechanical world clocks up to 40% off and ready to ship for the holidays.

It’s been a tough year all over, but – between the six of us here – Geochron is making it, and grateful for your enthusiasm!

Stay safe, and don't forget to vote!

I read all the replies, and reply to the nice ones!

2020 Installation contest

All year, Geochron owners send in fantastic photos of their installations, and we select the best for 2020 Installation Contest.  You rate the finalists, and the winner of each category gets an Atlas (4K General, Ham, and Mechanical).  See the best, and vote now!

The Last Polished Stainless Clock

If you’re new to the world of Geochron, it may surprise you that the glittery digital display came from an ornate mechanical clock that we still make today in small quantities in Oregon.  This holiday season we have three restored clocks for up to 40% off: two polished stainless panels, and one black goatskin standard.  This is the end of Geochron’s polished stainless line, and 40% off!
Our first installation on brick!  Love the contrast.
Many people have seen our mechanical world clocks on Cruise Lines, but here: our first photo of an Atlas in a Captain's Boardroom in Europe!

Covid Comparison - 4 months later.

In addition to our new Aviation Layer, Geochron also added a live COVID layer earlier this year.  Here are pictures four months apart.  While the circle sizes are relative to other hot spots, you can see the viral dispersion has changed.

LA and NYC are no longer hot, but COVID has moved to the interior of the U.S.  Numbers are accumulating everywhere. India: 327K infections to 1.7 million.  UK and FR: 457k to 3 million.
Send us your photo for the contest!  For more great pictures of our installations, check out:
